Beowulf by Michael Morpurgo proved to be fantastic inspiration for 4W’s class assembly on the final day of last half term. Accompanied by expressive actions, the children confidently recited parts of the story, showcasing rich language and truly impressive memorisation skills. Well done to everyone in year 4 who performed so brilliantly this week in their production of Porridge! The day started with a special assembly where the children had to work out who the special 'masked readers' were from amongst the staff. Year 4 stepped back in time this week when they spent the day as Romans! Marvellous History really helped to bring this period of history alive for the children as they met and learnt all about the Roman soldier Gaius Maximus!
