The children had a great time yesterday during World Book Day. The day started with a special assembly where the children had to work out who the special 'masked readers' were from amongst the staff.

Thank you to everyone for your support in helping to create such great costumes. We hope the day really inspired the children to find out more about the different characters they got to meet!

it's really cool for people who want to be writers because they get inspired to share their own stories. A lot of writers start out because books they read, maybe around World Book Day, made them want to write too. Places that help writers, like professional book writers help in Ireland can give new authors a hand with their ideas, make their writing better, and help them turn their thoughts into good books. I think events like this don't just celebrate people who read, but also get new writers excited to add their own stories to the world of books.
