Year 4 Production of 'Porridge'
Well done to everyone in year 4 who performed so brilliantly this week in their production of Porridge! The children really enjoyed showcasing their great acting, dancing and singing skills during the performances to parents and carers on Tuesday and Wednesday. Year 3 Egyptian Day
On Tuesday, our year 3 children immersed themselves in all things Ancient Egyptian. Stepping into the role of archaeologists, they used their knowledge of four-figure grid references to try to discover the location of Cleopatra’s tomb. 5L Class Assembly
Last Friday, 5L took everyone on a fantastic journey through the reading they have enjoyed this year. With an impressive 69,800 minutes of home reading completed so far, the children were eager to share just how much they love books! World Book Day
The children had a great time yesterday during World Book Day . The day started with a special assembly where the children had to work out who the special 'masked readers' were from amongst the staff. Year 6 Star Musician
Year 6 enjoyed a fantastic music day with visiting star musician Roseanna at the end of last half term. She shared her journey into music, performed some of her own compositions, and inspired the children to create their own pieces using mood boards linked to their book Stormbreaker . Southend Makes Music
Glee Club had a great time on Tuesday when they closed the show at the Palace Theatre for the Southend Makes Music concert! Well done to everyone who performed. The children really rose to the occasion and were thrilled to have the opportunity to perform as a group in such a great venue. The children were a credit to the school. 5M delivered a fantastic assembly last week with their creative take on I’m a Storybook Character… Get Me Out of Here! Five well‑known book characters took on a series of imaginative ‘bush tucker trials’ as they learned the skills needed to survive the challenges of the jungle. Year 6 Carol Service at Holy Trinity Church
Our Christmas performances started on Friday with the year 6 carol service at Holy Trinity Church. The year group performed in two halves due to the size of the venue, with parents invited along to their child's performance. Thank you to Holy Trinity Church for allowing us to hold this special service in such a lovely building and to year 6 for their very moving carol service.

Year 4 Roman Day
Year 4 stepped back in time this week when they spent the day as Romans!
