3HW shared their excitement on Friday as they prepared for the opening of Hamstel Lands, their very own farm, inspired by their recent visit to Barleylands!

3HW’s farm provided a great opportunity for the children to grow their own food and keep their own animals – all of which the children knew forms part of a balanced diet. The two tunes the children played on the glockenspiel to encourage their plants to grow seemed to work a little too well, resulting in what looked like a flourishing jungle!

The children’s work on fractions helped ensure they treated all of the animals in their petting zoo fairly, whilst their song Dancing Bones, demonstrated more of their science learning about living things.

The children shared the Green Cross Code as they kept safe from tractors and finished with a celebration of the opening of their farm with the song, Best Day of our Lives’!

Thank you 3HW for your wonderful assembly.

What a wonderful showcase of the students’ confidence, creativity, and teamwork during the 3HW class assembly. It’s inspiring to see young learners express themselves so enthusiastically while sharing their achievements with the school community. These memorable experiences help build valuable communication skills and self-belief. Reading this also reminded me how a talented comic book artist can inspire children to explore storytelling, imagination, and artistic expression in exciting new ways.
