The children had a great time yesterday during World Book Day . The day started with a special assembly where the children had to work out who the special 'masked readers' were from amongst the staff. Thank you to everyone for your support in helping to create such great costumes. We hope the day really inspired the children to find out more about the different characters they got to meet!

3R’s class assembly at the end of last half term burst into action with a fantastic dance performance, showing off their impressive moves as they Walked Like an Egyptian ! The children then took the audience on a trip through time, sharing what life was like in ancient Egypt. Santa's elf visited year 3 on Wednesday to lead a lap of the playground and some great dance routines. The children had great fun getting into the Christmas spirit.

Year 3 really enjoyed immersing themselves in the Stone Age period this week as they worked as Neanderthals  and Homo sapiens  to trap a woolly mammoth, competed as different tribes to gather food, and even got to build their own Stonehenge.
