3R’s class assembly at the end of last half term burst into action with a fantastic dance performance, showing off their impressive moves as they Walked Like an Egyptian!
The children then took the audience on a trip through time, sharing what life was like in ancient Egypt. They proudly demonstrated how they wrote their own names in hieroglyphics and used their decoding skills to crack secret messages.
The class also shared what they have been learning about the journey of the River Nile and why it was so important to the people of Egypt. Their writing, inspired by the book A Mummy Ate My Homework, showcased brilliant vocabulary choices and lovely descriptions, while their Lichtenstein-style portraits were a colourful highlight.
It was an exciting half-term for 3R, and the children were excited to share that they “can’t wait” for the next one! The assembly ended on a high note with a performance of Power in Me, which perfectly captured the children's enthusiasm for learning!
