Year 3 really enjoyed immersing themselves in the Stone Age period this week as they worked as Neanderthals and Homo sapiens to trap a woolly mammoth, competed as different tribes to gather food, and even got to build their own Stonehenge. They learnt how lives changed from the Palaeolithic, through the Mesolithic and into the Neolithic Stone Age and how important the discovery of fire was during this period. The children also had a great time investigating and handling Stone Age artefacts.

It was a fantastic day for all of the children and really helped to reinforce their knowledge and understanding of this fascinating period of history.

This is such a lovely and engaging post! The way the Stone Age learning experience is brought to life for Year 3 students makes it feel exciting, memorable, and fun. It’s wonderful to see hands on education that sparks curiosity and imagination. It also connects with how Medical Animation Videos maker helps turn complex concepts into simple, visual, and engaging learning experiences.
