Year 3 Stone Age Day

Year 3 really enjoyed immersing themselves in the stone age period during their Stone Age Day and demonstrating what they have learnt over the half term about how to survive during this time! The children spent the morning creating their own charcoal cave paintings and clay pots linked to stone age artefacts that have been found across the world, especially in Skara Brae, a stone age settlement the children have been learning about. The afternoon was spent on a wide range of activities including fire making, hunting stone age animals with 'spears' and using their bodies to move like stone age animals and hunters.

The weather was kind - even if it was cold - and a great day was had by all!
