5L Class Assembly

For our first class assembly of 2025, 5L impressed everyone in the audience with the amount of reading they have been doing at home; a combined total of 47,225 minutes, which would equal approximately 8,264,375 words!  They then demonstrated just how much they love reading by sharing some of their learning based on the book The Jamie Drake Equation!

From learning about the planets in science to fantastic space-themed artwork based on the work of Peter Thorpe, the children demonstrated how hard they have been working in 5L.  The class also shared some of their talents in music with their ukulele playing, hip hop music compositions, and their singing of ‘Defying Gravity’, which they sang to close the assembly. Thank you 5L for a lovely assembly.
