4H impressed everyone with their assembly inspired by The Iron Man by Ted Hughes. They brought the story to life with their stories, reminding us of its message about courage, kindness, and not judging by appearances.
The class shared their spooky story settings, using powerful verbs, short sentences, and similes to build suspense. They also became map detectives, using four-figure grid references to find the Iron Man’s missing parts hidden around the school!
Their lovely artwork, inspired by illustrator Chris Mould, showed the Iron Man in colourful new settings. 4H even demonstrated their growing hockey skills, showing great teamwork and determination.
The assembly ended with the song Harvest Rock and Roll. Well done, 4H — you were iron-credible!
