The children in 6P demonstrated their Hamstel Habits of courage, determination and excellence during their class assembly last week, as they shared what they have been learning about at Spy School. Inspired by Alex Rider: Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz, the children impressed everyone with their creativity and enthusiasm.
From creating secret dossiers explaining the capabilities of their specialist spy equipment to using their maths skills to assess the risks of mission failure, the children showed how learning across the curriculum helped ensure success was never Mission Impossible. Their computing skills were put to great use as they designed new spy gadgets, while artwork inspired by Paul Kenton supported the trainee spies in drawing detailed streetscapes to help plan their missions. Physical training also took place during PE lessons as the class prepared themselves for life as spies in the field!
The audience was treated to the song ‘I Make My Own Sunshine’ before the assembly self‑destructed in five seconds!
Well done 6P for giving everyone the chance to discover more about your 'top secret' mission!
