6D took the rest of the school and their parents and carers on a journey last Friday during their class assembly!
The children shared their setting descriptions based on the book Kensuke’s Kingdom as well as their art inspired by Hokusai. From Japan, the children moved on to New Zealand and their performance of the Haka which they’d learnt during their dance sessions and linked to their tag rugby lessons. The children really impressed with their use of the program GarageBand to compose music. Their knowledge of Excel proved really useful in keeping track of their spending on their trip around the world!
The assembly finished with the children sharing the things they were grateful for and a song celebrating where they are now and where they will be going next!
Well done to all of 6D and thank you to all the parents and carers who came along to watch.
