5M delivered a fantastic assembly last week with their creative take on I’m a Storybook Character… Get Me Out of Here! Five well‑known book characters took on a series of imaginative ‘bush tucker trials’ as they learned the skills needed to survive the challenges of the jungle.
The children’s vivid imaginations shone through in their descriptive writing and detailed sketches of mythical jungle creatures. Thankfully, the contestants were able to steady their nerves before bedtime with some impressive glockenspiel playing!
A trial involving moving a box full of snakes proved tricky when friction got the better of the team. However, their second challenge - throwing fruit - was much more successful, with the contestants putting their rugby skills to excellent use. Despite their efforts, the characters won only rice for their meal, missing out on the cookies they had made earlier in their DT lessons.
The assembly concluded with a lively performance of I’ve Got the Magic in Me, a perfect ending to 5M’s very entertaining assembly.

What a fantastic recap of the 5M Class Assembly! It’s great to see students confidently presenting and celebrating their achievements just like how medical animation makers use creative visuals to explain complicated health topics in an easy to understand way.
