6D Class Assembly

Last week, 6D proudly shared their learning from the first few weeks of term in their class assembly. Their topic, Conflict and Co-operation, provided the class with lots of opportunities to make links across the curriculum.

In history, the children have been learning about World War II, while their PSHE lessons have explored important themes such as prejudice and discrimination. They also demonstrated how they have been working together in PE through basketball, as well as showing courage and determination when taking part in cross country.

The children particularly enjoyed sharing their experiences from their recent World War II Day, when they discovered what life might have been like for an evacuee. They even experienced the sound of an air-raid siren before heading to the safety of an air-raid shelter (the school’s PE store!).   

The assembly finished with 6D performing Evacuate, bringing their very informative assembly to a close. Well done, 6D, on a wonderful celebration of everything you have learned so far this term!
