6B shared what they have learnt about the Second World War in their class assembly last week. Dressed for the part, the children showcased some of their key learning, including a group poem about the Blitz, their Henry Moore-inspired sketches, and information about Dig for Victory and Make Do and Mend.
The children also shared their thoughtful and contrasting evacuee diaries, followed by an evacuee song. The assembly ended by remembering the courage and sacrifice of those who lived through the Second World War, before finishing on a celebratory note with Party Like It’s 1945! Peace was definitely something worth celebrating!
Well done, 6B, for a thoughtful, informative and entertaining assembly!
