5L Class Assembly
5L clearly have a love of reading and proudly shared their learning from this term, particularly their enjoyment of Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. While the class were keen not to offend any parents in the audience, they were also excited by the idea of discovering that one of their parents might secretly be a Greek god!
As part of their learning, the children created Top Trump cards featuring the Greek gods to help determine who would make the best parent. They also showcased their impressive clay models of some of the fearsome Greek monsters they might be called upon to battle.
Alongside demonstrating their mathematical understanding and language skills, the children finished their assembly with a lively musical performance that celebrated ambition, determination and the confidence to make their voices heard. Alongside their singing, they shared what they would most like to be the god or goddess of. Suggestions ranged from music, nature and imagination to rugby, Arsenal and even ice cream!
Thank you, 5L, for such an imaginative, entertaining and informative assembly.
