Daily Updates: PGL Residential Grosvenor Hall Sunday 7th - Wednesday 10th June 2026 Sunday - Day 1 We arrived safely at Grosvenor Hall at 2:15pm on Sunday afternoon, with the children full of excitement as we pulled into the centre. After a quick snack, the group spent some time settling into their rooms and unpacking. We were then given a tour of the site by our PGL leaders, Ollie and Jack, who got things off to a great start by leading the children in a range of fun games. Following dinner, there was a welcome change of plan, as the children were treated to a campfire. It was a fantastic way to end an exciting first day! Monday - Day 2 After a hearty cooked breakfast, everyone was ready for a very active, fun-filled day. The morning saw the first of our groups tackling some of the exciting high rope activities, whilst others worked together in teams to complete an obstacle course. In spite of some rain in the afternoon, the children demonstrated their Hamstel Habits of courage and determination when raft building. The way the groups tackled the very muddy sensory trail showed just how well they are learning to work together as a team. The evening saw the children enjoying sessions of laser tag or archery tag – an exciting way to finish a great day. Tuesday - Day 3 After a good night’s sleep, everyone was full of energy and ready to get stuck into another busy day of activities. The zip wire was a big hit, with children flying along the 100-metre line and loving every minute. The crate challenge was another favourite – a high ropes activity where teamwork was key, as children stacked and climbed crates higher and higher… until they all came crashing down! A quick trip to the shop before dinner gave everyone the chance to grab a small souvenir to remember the trip. Later on, groups swapped activities from the previous evening, finishing the day with either laser tag or archery tag. A brilliant way to end a fun-filled and action-packed day. Wednesday - Day 4 After packing and clearing our rooms before breakfast everyone enjoyed a fantastic last day at PGL. With groups climbing, orienteering and working together to complete the obstacle course everyone had a great time. After a picnic lunch and a chance to say goodbye to our great lead instructors Jack and Ollie, it was time to board the coaches and wave goodbye to PGL for another year. We'll be back in 2027! PGL Residential Trip 2027 Please see letter below for next year's PGL Residential Trip 2027 for year 6: PGL Residential Trip 2027 First Letter - 22.5.26
