5S enjoyed sharing their assembly about the Ancient Greeks with the rest of the school.
The assembly featured three Greek gods, Zeus, Poseidon and Hades, watching a night of mortal television, which they then decided to make more ‘Greek’.
The class shared their knowledge of the world by demonstrating where Greece is located and impressed with their maths knowledge by sharing how much a Greek house would cost to the nearest hundred thousand pounds!
The children then shared their own versions of the classic story of Orpheus and Eurydice.
The assembly finished with the children performing their own Greek inspired dance.

5G's journey around planet Earth provided a fantastic opportunity for them to showcase what they have been learning in class this year.
The children shared some brilliant animations that they created during their computing lessons this term and impressed everyone by describing the weather using French phrases.
The audience was particularly entertained by the children performing some of the camp songs they learned on their Skreens Park residential trip.

5R's mission to find a missing plant provided a fantastic opportunity for them to showcase what they have been learning in class.
The audience enjoyed watching the class apply a variety of skills from a range of subjects to try to solve the mystery. The children included some excellent language in their crime reports and provided an informative description of the germination process.
The assembly concluded with the song Reach for the Stars.

5Gi’s class assembly was a fantastic showcase of what the children have learned so far this year.
The audience enjoyed viewing photos of the children learning in class and examples of their work. The children shared interesting facts about Ancient Greece and re-enacted the Battle of Marathon.
The assembly concluded with the children looking to the future and revealing what they would like to be when they are older.

5H entertained the rest of the school, and their family and friends, with a brilliant showcase of what they have been learning in class this term.
The assembly began with an enthusiastic performance of the harvest song ‘Thank Your Lucky Stars’.
5H shared some interesting facts about the Vikings through films which they had filmed in front of a green screen. The audience was also treated to some of 5H’s fantastic art work!

5M’s class assembly was a fantastic showcase of what they have been learning in class so far this term.
The audience were entertained by the different types of drumming that the children had been practising in class.
The children shared their colourful window decorations and explained how they had created them using hot wax and brusho in their art lessons.
Everyone enjoyed an entertaining performance of the song ‘Tearing up this place tonight’ which had helped the children to learn about the lifestyle of the Vikings.
