Thank you to the RNLI who came in to talk to the children about how to keep safe when visiting the seaside.
Thank you to the fire safety team who visited the school to talk to our year 3 and 4 children.
The children learned about staying safe on Bonfire Night - they were taught how to wear gloves when holding a sparkler and why it is important to keep pets indoors. The children were particularly fascinated to learn about the flame retardant symbol used on children's costumes.
Thank you to everyone who donated to our Harvest collection for the Southend Foodbank. Our newly elected School Council worked hard to create a fantastic display of all the donations ahead of our special whole school assembly.
Southend Foodbank is a charity which works hard to support families in crisis. We are proud of our community links and know how grateful the charity is for all your kind donations.
Each year group shared what they had learnt about the different 'Hamstel Houses' during the project they carried out at the beginning of term.
Year 3 learned about Buckingham
Year 4 learned about Windsor
Year 5 learned about Sandringham
Year 6 learned about Balmoral
