Cubs is a wonderful opportunity to try new activities and learn skills with friends that you might not otherwise discover - and have lots of fun!
Cubs is the second section of the Scouting Movement which caters for children between 8 and 10 and a half and is open to boys and girls of any religion or none. The Cub programme offers a huge variety of indoor and outdoor activities which allow the children to be creative, adventurous, active, learn about their world and communities, develop teamwork, learn new skills and increase their confidence.
Cubs at Hamstel meets after school on a Wednesday until 4.30pm, and is based in the canteen, but also includes activities outdoors on the field and playground. We have a limited number of places still available and you do not have to wait for a new term to join us. You can start straight away.
At the start of their Scouting journey, your child will need a uniform, scarf and investiture badges which we will provide for a one off cost £20.
All members of the Scout Association also have to pay an annual membership fee. We ask for a contribution towards this cost of £25 that covers the whole year.
As with our other after school activities, there will also be a £3 per week charge to help cover the costs of the activity including any activity badges that the children will earn..
